If you’ve been feeling like Klaviyo has been unusually quiet recently, it’s because they’ve been super busy behind the scenes crafting some amazing new features! They’ve been rolling out updates like a factory on double shifts, and guess what? These new features are designed to make our lives as marketers a whole lot easier. Let’s jump into the coolest new features that Klaviyo has brought to the table recently.
#1 Personalized Campaigns AI
First up is Personalized Campaigns AI. This smart new feature leverages artificial intelligence to analyze your A/B test campaign variants, identifying which variant resonates best with each subscriber.
Unlike traditional A/B testing, where there’s a single winning variant, this AI-powered feature selects the optimal variant for each customer based on how contacts in the test pool engage with each option. Essentially, both campaign variants can be "winners." For example, during the test period, the AI might detect that variant A works best for low-spending customers, while variant B appeals more to high-spending customers. Klaviyo will then send variant A to the low spenders and variant B to the high spenders.
This example is a simplified explanation; the AI actually analyzes a wide range of data points, including subscriber location, spending habits, order history, average order value, and customer lifetime value. Once the test is complete, you can review the profile characteristics associated with each variant. These insights reveal why a particular group preferred one variant over the others.
But here's the catch – and it's a big one: this incredible new Klaviyo feature is only available for accounts with over 400,000 profiles. Yikes! Seriously, Klaviyo, why create something that only 1% of users can actually access? We assume it has something to do with the AI needing a large amount of data to function effectively, but still.
Anyway, if your Klaviyo account meets this rather steep requirement, you’ll find the option in the sending strategy section after setting up your campaign A/B test.
#2 Bot Click Reporting Filter
Alright, let’s move on to a feature that all Klaviyo users can actually use! Excluding bot clicks from Klaviyo reports is now a reality. Bot clicks have become increasingly common lately, so it’s great to see Klaviyo taking steps to address this issue. With this new feature enabled, bot clicks will be filtered out of campaign reports, flow reports, benchmark reports, and even SMS reports!
Using this feature helps keep those pesky bots in check and gives you a clearer picture of how your real, human audience is interacting with your emails. No more inflated click rates that make you wonder if your subscribers have developed superhuman clicking abilities overnight.
To enable this setting (which we highly recommend), log in to your Klaviyo account and go to Settings > Email > Tracking.
#3 Segment Condition Cloning
Ever spent ages crafting the perfect segment? Well, Klaviyo’s got your back with the new segment condition cloning feature. Now, you can easily duplicate any segment condition you’ve created and tweak it as needed. This feature is a huge time-saver and prevents you from pulling your hair out trying to create complex segments. More time saved means more time to focus on creating killer content and strategies.
To use this feature, simply head to the segment builder and click the 'Copy' button to the right of any condition!
#4 Banner Sign-up Forms
Last but definitely not least, Banner Sign-up Forms are here to help you grow your subscriber list without being obnoxious. These sleek, non-intrusive banners appear at the top of your website, providing continuous visibility without compromising the user’s browsing experience.
To create your own banner sign-up form, log in to your Klaviyo account and navigate to Sign-up Forms > Create Sign-up Form > Create New Sign-up Form, and select 'Banner' from the form type dropdown menu.
Banners are a more subtle way to encourage users to take action compared to pop-ups, though they do offer fewer design options. That said, we’re big fans of banners, and it’s great that Klaviyo has added them to the mix. Banners are just as versatile as other types of sign-up forms and can be used to grow your email list, offer a freebie, or promote a sale.
